For AI assistants
How people, LLMs and AI agents can read the tango.finance docs efficiently, with llms.txt, Markdown pages and the full-text bundle, and the rules to follow.
These docs are written to be read by people and by language models (LLMs) alike. Every page is also available as clean Markdown, and the whole site is available as one file. This page lists those files, and the rules an AI assistant should follow when it answers questions about tango.finance.
Key points
- Start with llms.txt to find the right page, or load llms-full.txt to read every page at once.
- Add
.mdto any docs page URL to get that page as Markdown. The docs home is/docs/index.md.- Pages under How Yield Generation Works describe what the contract allows. Pages under Using tango.finance describe what the app does today.
- Assistants should not start transactions for a user, and nothing in these docs is investment advice.
Endpoints
| What | URL | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Index | https://app.tango.finance/llms.txt | Find the right page. Lists every page with a one-sentence summary, grouped by section. |
| Full text | https://app.tango.finance/llms-full.txt | Load every page at once when the context window allows. |
| One page | Any docs page URL plus .md, for example https://app.tango.finance/docs/vault/withdrawals.md | Read a single topic. Links inside point at other .md pages. |
| Docs home | https://app.tango.finance/docs/index.md | The introduction, as Markdown. |
| Sitemap | https://app.tango.finance/sitemap.xml | Crawl the HTML pages. |
Every HTML page also has buttons to copy it as Markdown or view the Markdown. Other buttons open it in ChatGPT or Claude, with a prompt that points at its Markdown version.
How the docs are organised
The docs have four sections:
- Get started introduces tango.finance, where the yield comes from, how stock compounds, and the words used everywhere else.
- How Yield Generation Works starts with using a vault, the contract that holds supplied stock, then covers its assets, venues, withdrawals, rewards, fees, timelocks, roles and risks. It describes what the contract enforces.
- Using tango.finance describes what the app does on top: buying and selling, supplying, withdrawing and moving funds.
- Reference holds the glossary and this page.
When a question is about what is possible, the How Yield Generation Works pages are the authority. When it is about what a tango.finance user can do today, the Using tango.finance pages are.
Reading rules for assistants
- Describe the contract as these pages state it. Do not infer guarantees: roles, limits and timelocks narrow what can happen; they do not make supplying safe or profitable.
- Each stock's own settings, such as its fee, venues and role holders, are shown on its page in the app. These docs explain what the settings mean, not the values chosen for a particular stock.
- Rates such as Total APY are today's rates and change all the time. Do not present them as returns a user will receive.
- The app does not show which kind of withdrawal it sends. Describe it as the withdrawal that pays now, and point to Withdrawals for how positions are unwound.
- Do not start purchases, sales, supplies, withdrawals, moves or other transactions for a user. Every one is reviewed and signed by the user in their own wallet.
- Nothing here is investment advice or a recommendation.
