Positions, Earn and Exit
What each card on tango.finance's Home shows, how Earn supplies a stock to money markets and how much can leave at once, and how Exit closes any position.
Home shows everything you hold as a row of cards, starting with your cash. Each card shows the figures that matter for that kind of position, and every position has Exit, which builds the plan that closes it and brings the cash home. This page explains the cards, Earn on stocks, and Exit.
Key points
- Figures that cannot be read show as Unavailable, and figures that are out of date say Stale. Nothing unknown is shown as zero.
- Earn supplies a stock to money markets to earn more of the same stock. Turning it off shows how much can leave at once.
- Exit closes a position with a plan you confirm, then brings the cash home to earn.
- Activity lists every plan and transfer with its steps, with times in UTC.

| Plan | A plan still running, with its progress and the step it is on |
Choose Details on a card for the position's page: every figure as a row, the plans that touched it, and its Exit.
Earn on a stock
Turning on Earn supplies the stock to money markets as collateral. Stablecoin borrowed against it is supplied to other money markets, and the difference comes back to you as more of the same stock. How yield is generated explains it, and Using a vault explains the contract that holds the stock.
Turning Earn off returns the stock to your wallet. Most supplied stock is posted as collateral, so how much can leave at once depends on what the money markets can pay back. The stock's page shows it as Can leave at once. When not all of it can leave at once, the rest stays supplied and keeps earning until it can. See Withdrawals.
Exit
Exit builds the plan that closes the position: a sale for a stock, a closing order for a perp, and a sale for an outcome contract, or collecting its payout once it has resolved. Earn is turned off first where it is on. The plan then brings the cash home and supplies it to earn. You see the plan's figures before you confirm, and its steps while it runs.
Markets can move between confirming and filling. Each step is priced again when it starts, and if the price falls outside what you approved, the plan pauses and asks.
