Using tango.finance
Strategies and a strategy's page
How the Strategies list on tango.finance works, what each strategy's page shows from its figures and chart to its four tabs, and what the marks beside a strategy's name mean.
Once you have deployed a strategy, you follow it from two screens. Strategies lists every strategy you own in one table. Choosing one opens its page, with its value, returns and chart at the top and four tabs below: Positions, Settings, Advanced and Activity. This page walks through both, and links to the page that covers each tab in depth.
Key points
- Strategies is one sortable table of your own strategies: Name, Assets, Value and 7d Return. Nobody else's strategies appear on tango.finance.
- A strategy's page shows Value and its 24h, 7d and 30d returns, a chart with 24H, 7D, 30D and All ranges, then Deposit and Ask Tango.
- Positions holds what the strategy owns and Close. Settings holds the agents, Max Leverage and rules. Advanced holds timelocks, roles and rate limits. Activity lists every operation with its steps.
- Pages update by themselves as things change. There is nothing to refresh.
Moving around the app
The header has three pages: Home, Strategies and Account. Once you are signed in, it also shows two figures, Invested and Cash, and Add Cash. Signed out, it shows Sign In. The footer links to Documentation and Risks.
| Page | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Home | Building a new strategy from a sentence. See Build a strategy |
| Strategies | Every strategy you own |
| Account | Your cash, adding and sending it, your wallet and Sign Out. See Sign in and add cash |
Strategies
Strategies is one table, one row per strategy:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Name | The strategy's name, with a mark when it is not simply running |
| Assets | The marks of the assets it can hold, overlapping, with a count when there are many |
| Value | What it is worth now |
| 7d Return | Its return over the last seven days |
Choose a column's header to sort by it, and again to reverse. A figure with no value yet shows a dash and always sorts last. Choose a row to open the strategy. On a phone, each row stacks into labelled lines. With no strategies yet, the table links to Home to build your first one.
The marks beside a name
| Mark | Meaning |
|---|---|
| None | Running: agents are on and nothing needs you |
| Setting Up | Setup has not finished. Its page shows the steps left |
| Agents Off | Agentic Rebalancing is off, so agents decide nothing new |
| Closing | Close Strategy is ending it |
| Closed | You closed the strategy for good |
A strategy's page
While it is setting up
Until setup finishes, the page shows only the strategy's name, its Setting Up mark and the setup steps: Deploy Strategy, Authorize Agents and Add Funds, each Upcoming, Running, Done or Failed. When a step needs your wallet, the page asks for it there, as Continue Setup or as Add with the amount. See Build a strategy.
The top of the page
| Part | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Name and mark | The strategy's name, and its mark when it has one |
| Deposit | Moves cash in from your wallet. It is gone once a strategy is closing or closed. See Deposits in the app |
| Ask Tango | Asks a question about what is moving the strategy's positions. See Ask Tango |
| Value | What the strategy is worth now |
| 24h, 7d and 30d | Its return over each period |
| Chart | Its value over time. Choose 24H, 7D, 30D or All. A new strategy shows No History Yet until it has enough points |
A figure with no value yet, such as a 30-day return on a strategy a week old, shows a dash. A dash is never zero.
The tabs
The tab you choose is kept in the page's address, so a link or a reload opens the same tab.
| Tab | What it holds | Read more |
|---|---|---|
| Positions | Idle Cash with Withdraw, then every position with its quantity, value and, for a perp, liquidation distance, leverage and funding. Close on each row, and Close All | Positions, Close and Activity |
| Settings | Agentic Rebalancing, Max Leverage for each perp market, the rule's or program's settings, the Changes log, and Close Strategy once it holds nothing | How agents run a strategy |
| Advanced | The strategy's timelocks, every account holding one of its vault's roles with Grant Role, and every rate limit | Timelocks, roles and limits in the app |
| Activity | Every trade, deposit, withdrawal, close and change, newest first. Choose one to see its steps | Positions, Close and Activity |
A closed strategy
Close Strategy, in Settings, ends a strategy that holds nothing. Its page stays, marked Closed, with its history and Activity. It offers no Deposit, its agents are off, and its settings no longer change.
Live updates
While a strategy's page or the Strategies list is open, it updates by itself: a trade that fills, a deposit that lands or a step that confirms appears without a reload. A tab in the background catches up when you come back to it. Every time is in UTC.
What others can see
Your strategies are private in the app. Nobody else can find them on tango.finance, and no strategy is listed publicly. Onchain, every vault and transaction is public, so anyone who knows a vault's address can read its holdings. See Risks.
